Blue Moon - Beading is my passion, it wasn’t always that way. When I retired I was first exposed to the art of beading and soon realized what remarkable opportunities this art form presented. My creativity expresses itself in my beaded pieces in a number of ways. I love nature, and enjoy the whimsical. But when it comes to the beautiful I love the sparkle and color of Swarovski crystal.

Princessa Necklace - My love for beautiful jewelry began in 1997 selling fine jewelry. My love for beading began shortly after that which led me to my present job at Beads and Beyond in Bellevue, Washington. My love of fine jewelry carried over into designing original beaded jewelry and teaching everything from beginning off loom beading techniques to complicated, advanced pieces similar to the Princessa Necklace. This design uses Swarovski crystals not only as focal beads but as connectors and embellishments which enhance the main components, a technique I have used in many of my teachings and in many of my original designs.

Esmerelda the Merry Mermaid - From her curly seaweed like hair into which a playful fish has been caught, to her clam shell earrings and dangling shell purse, this piece captures the magic of the mermaid. It stands 12”x 4”x 2”. Her iridescent bustier and her undulating tail give this piece a sense of gently floating in the sea. Her hand sawn upper body reflects the beauty of this legendary creature. She is plated in bright gold and definitely makes all your dreams come true.

Scarf Necklace - This scarf necklace evolved & changed quite a bit-but I thought it was a nice way to dress up a sweater, or clothes that may be a bit bulky on top.

Rainbow Leaf Collar - This highly collectible piece draws the wearer and observer into a state of delight. Using new and vintage material creates incredible dimension along with the various shades of color that are incorporated into multiple foliate forms. The collar is very sculptural but has been designed to be comfortable for the wearer. It lays flat in both the front and back and flares out off the shoulders. This piece can also be worn asymmetrically for a different look. Framed in a shadow box, this creation would be stunning in anyone’s living room.

Rainbow Leaf Tiara and Cuff - These pieces include a spectacular head piece (6”x 12”x 2.5”) with a magical hinged cuff bracelet (6” x 6”x 8”). The profusion of colors in this set is unexpected and engaging. Certain leaves are set au tremblant. The use of new and vintage stones in various shades of colors creates an arresting yet elegant impact. This set is not for the shy but for one who will be noticed, and besides will look great with that little black dress.
